Nenggui Xu is a professor and chief scientist in the National 973 Project, a leader of Traditional Chinese Medicine discipline of first-class disciplines of state-level key disciplines, a leader of science of acupuncture, moxibustion and massage of province-level key disciplines, a lead researcher in Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Academy of Sciences, a State Council Expert for Special Allowance, a vice president of China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion, the chairman of Meridian Branch of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, a vice chairman of Discipline and Academic Committee, a vice president of Guangdong Provincial Association for Acupuncture-Moxibustion, the chairman of Meridian Study of Guangdong Provincial Association for Acupuncture-Moxibustion, and the vice director of journal editorial broads of Acupuncture Research and Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion. Having been working on scientific researches, teaching and clinic about Science of Acupuncture and Moxibustionin of TCM for more than 20 years, Vice President Xu was also awarded as a talent of “National Talents Project”, a object of cultivated talents of “1110 Project” of colleges in Guangdong Province, a member selected in “New Century Talent Supporting Project” of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the second National One Hundred Outstanding Youthful Traditional Chinese Doctors, “National Excellent Scientist”, and a cultivated object of Guangdong Provincial One Hundred Nanyue Outstanding Talents Cultivating Project. Moreover, Vice President Xu holds National 973 Project, eight state-level scientific research projects like The Major Project of The National Natural Science Foundation of China and more than ten province-level scientific research projects. The research projects he held gained a second prize for National Teaching Achievements Award, two first prizes for Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and two second prizes for Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Besides, Dr. Xu has published more that 150 academic papers on the journal published at home and abroad and written more than 10 academic monographs. He mainly studies in the clinical and basic research of treating stroke by acupuncture and moxibustion, as well as the systematic research of meridian’s functions and structural foundations form the angle of brain plasticity.
朱兵 巴黎大学生命科学博士，研究员，“973”首席科学家，原中国中医科学院针灸研究所所长。国家中医药管理局经络研究重点实验室主任，针灸学科学术带头人，中西医结合基础博士研究生导师。主要研究方向为针灸效应机制、针刺镇痛原理、循经感传机制、经脉-脏腑相关联系研究。目前承担的课题有国家自然科学基金项目：《针刺激活下丘脑分泌性腺激素神经元与特异穴鉴定》，《不同手法针刺引发传入信息编码及效应器反应比较》和《耳-迷走神经反射和耳穴作用途径及机理》。共主持过国家级课题10余项，其中“973”国际重大基础研究计划一项，省部级课题5项。其参与和主持的研究课题先后获院、局级成果1、2、3等奖12项，其中《针灸的科学基础》：获北京市科技进步三等奖；《针刺镇痛的节段性机制与全身性机制》： 获中国中医研究院科技进步二等奖；《经络的研究》：获北京市科技进步二等奖；“针刺镇痛的阶段性机制与全身性机制研究”获2004年中国中医研究院科技进步二等奖，2006年中国针灸学会科技进步一等奖。撰写《针灸的科学基础》、《系统针灸学》等多部专著。在国际SCI杂志发表论文30余篇，国内核心期刊发表论文60余篇。
Zhu Bing is a life science doctor and researcher of University Paris René Descartes. During the years from 1989 to 1990, Dr. Zhu worked as a post-doctoral researcher in INSERM(Institute National de la Sante et de la Recherche Medicale). Now he is the director of Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,a chief scientist in the National 973 Project, an academic leader of acupuncture and moxibustion discipline, and a doctor-postgraduate tutor of combination of the bases of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine discipline. Dr.Zhu mainly studies in the effect mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion, the theory of using acupuncture to relieve pain, the mechanism of perceptual extension, and some relevant researches about meridians-viscus. At the present, he is in charge of three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, which are The Neuron and the Peculiar Acupoint Identification of Acupuncture Activating the Hypothalamus to Secrete Gonadal Hormone, The comparisons of the Afferent Massage Coding and Effector Responses Caused by Different Acupuncture Manipulations, and The Function Ways and Mechanism of the Reflexes of Vagus of Auricular and the Auricular Point. Moreover, Dr.Zhu has held more that ten state-level projects, among which there was a 973 National Significant Basic Research Plan and five province-level projects. Furthermore, some of the research projects that he participated and held have gained twelve prizes in all including the first, second as well as third prizes of college-level and bureau-level achievements. Among the prizes, Scientific Foundation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion won the third award of Beijing Technology and Science Progress Award; Periodic mechanism and Systemic Mechanism of Using Acupuncture to Relieve Pain gained the second prize of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Technology and Science Progress Award;and The Study of Meridian won the second prize of Beijing Technology and Science Progress Award. Besides, the project, Periodic mechanism and Systemic Mechanism of Using Acupuncture to Relieve Pain gained the second prize of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Technology and Science Progress Award in 2004 and in 2006, it won the first award of China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion Technology and Science Progress Award. Dr.Zhu is also a Distinguished Professor of the plan, “Chu Tian Scholars” of Hubei College of Chinese Medicine and a part-time professor of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who has written several works like Scientific Foundation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Besides, Dr.Zhu has published 26 papers on SCI(Science Citation Index), 2 papers on Science China and more than 60 papers on domestic core journals.
Wenbin Fu graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 1987. He has been working in the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. He works on clinic, teaching and scientific researches about acupuncture and moxibustionin for nearly 30 years. He pursued graduate study in Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and now he is a doctor of medicine. Dr. Fu now is a chief physician, a professor, a doctoral advisor and a post-doctoral co-advisor of the Second School of Clinic Medicine of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. What’s more, he is a leader of the national key specialized discipline of acupuncture and moxibustion, the group leader of the cooperative group of national key specialized subject of acupuncture and moxibustion, the group leader of the national acupuncture-kinds cooperative group, a member of Academic Degrees Committee of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, an academic leader of science of acupuncture, moxibustion and massage of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a member of the 7th and the 8th committee of Guangdong Provincial Association of Science and Technology, the president of Guangdong Provincial Association for Acupuncture-Moxibustion, an executive director of the 5th council of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, a vice chairman of the 4th committee and the 2nd Abdominal Acupuncture Professional Committee of Clinic Branch of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, a member of the 2nd Standardization Work Committee and a member of standing committee of Brain Discipline Professional Committee of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, a vice president of the 1st council of Chinese Medicine Practice Treatment Professional Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, a consultant of the 5th and 6th Hong Kong Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association, and a Permanent Honorary Professor of NVCA. Furthermore, he is in charge of a major project of State-sponsored “Eleventh Five-year” Science and Technology Plans, a project of State-sponsored “Twelfth Five-year” Projects and more than 30 state-level, province-level as well as department-level research projects. He also won several Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards.
唐纯志， 医学博士，教授，博士生导师。现任广州中医药大学针灸康复临床医学院院长。担任中国针灸学会理事、中国针灸学会实验分会常务理事、 中国针灸学会脑病科学委员会委员、广东省针灸学会常务理事以及广东省针灸学会实验针灸学分会主任委员，并担任《中华医学实践杂志》编委。近五年来主持和参与各类科研课题10余项，其中主持国家科技部“973计划”子课题3项、国家自然基金面上项目1项，作为主要研究者参与广东省科技厅团队项目1项，发表学术论文二十多篇，其中SCI收录论文8篇，担任副主编教材3部，获得两项省部级科研成果奖励。获得三项省部级科技进步奖（排名第三）。指导培养硕士生30余人，指导博士研究生6名。主要研究方向为运用现代医学技术和方法研究针灸治病的获效机理。
Chunzhi Tang, Medical PhD, Professor and doctoral tutor. He is now the dean of Clinical Medical College of Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Rehabilitation. Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He is also the director of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, Standing director of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion of the experiment, the member of China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion societies encephalopathy scientific committee, Standing director of Guangdong association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, the director of the committee of experimental acupuncture branch of Guangdong acupuncture institute and acts as the editor of Chinese Journal of Practice Medicine. Over the past five years, Tang has managed more than 10 scientific research projects, including 1 item of the subproject of 973 Program of Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 item of the surface project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and, joining in 1 item of the team project of the department of science of Guangdong province as major investigators, 1 item of the project of 973 Program of Ministry of Science and Technology, 2 items of the project of the ministry of health and the ministry of education. He published more than twenty academic papers, SCI included 8.Tang also compiled 3 textbooks as associate editor and got two rewards for provincial scientific research achievements, 3 rewards for provincial scientific advancements(the third ). Tang has trained more than 30 master and 6 PhD. The research direction of Tang now is using Modern medical techniques and methods to research the effect mechanism of acupuncture treatment.
陈永君 广州中医药大学研究员，博士生导师，现任华南针灸研究平台副主任、广东省传统医学会神志病分会常委、中国民族医药学会神志病分会常务理事。博士毕业于南方医科大学，2008-2014年在美国乔治亚大学从事博士后和助理研究员工作。主要研究方向为精神分裂症的分子发病机制、缺血后中间神经元保护的新靶点、针灸治疗情志病的机制研究等。曾以第一作者或通讯作者发表过多篇高影响力的SCI论文，包括Molecular Psychiatry 、Neuron 、Nature Neuroscience等。这些研究成果在神经生物学领域产生了重要影响，并且有力地推动了对这些神经疾病的发病机理研究；不仅被同行广泛引用，还被SCIENCE DAILY、NIH（美国国立卫生院）官方媒体等报导。此外他还担任Journal of Cardiovascular Disease Research的编辑之一，同时被6个国内外杂志邀请作为专业同行评审专家，其中包括PLoS One、Molecular Biology Reports等。曾经获得或参与AHA（美国心脏中风学会）和NIH的R01课题，现主持国家自然科学基金等项目的研究工作。2016年被广东省教育厅聘为珠江特聘教授。
Yongjun Chen, Ph.D. & M.D.Yongjun Chen is a professor and doctoral advisor of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GZUCM). He is the current deputy director of the South China Research Center for Acupuncture and vice dean for college of Acupuncture and Rehabilitation of GZUCM. He got Ph.D. from Southern Medical University in 2008. And He worked as a postdoc and assistant research scientist in Medical College of Georgia during 2008 to 2014. His mainly research areas includes the molecular pathogenesis of schizophrenia and the new target for protection of intermediate neurons after ischemia. His current research interests focus on neurobiological mechanism of acupuncture in treating mental disease.
Dr. Yongjun Chen has published a number of influential papers on SCI as the primary author, including Molecular Psychiatry, Neuron, Nature Neuroscience, etc. The results of these researches has been having an important impact on the field of neurobiology, and effectively promoting the researches of pathogenesis of these neurological diseases. These results was widely used by counterparts, and reported by the official media, such as SCIENCE DAILY, NIH and NIMH. He took part in several R01 projects of NIH. Now he host the National Natural Science Fund research programs etc.In 2016, he was hired as the Zhujiang Distinguished Professor by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province.
刘健华 博士，研究员，博士研究生导师，广东省中医院针灸效应规律及机制重点研究室主任和创新团队负责人。现任广东省针灸学会常务理事、秘书长，中国针灸学会经络分会副秘书长，中国针灸学会针法灸法分会副主任委员。主要从事针灸调整作用的机理研究，主持“973计划”子课题1项、国家自然科学基金3项、教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划1项、广东省自然科学基金1项、作为主要研究人员曾参与国家“九五”攀登预选项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目等多项国家级课题的研究。在国内外发表相关论文10余篇，其中在Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine、Brain Research、Neuroscience Letters等SCI源刊杂志发表论文9篇，被国外同行引用60余次。曾获教育部科学技术进步奖一等奖1项、教育部自然科学奖二等奖1项、中华中医药学会科学技术奖二等奖2项、湖南省科技进步三等奖1项、广州中医药大学自然科学奖一等奖1项。2011年获广州中医药大学“新南方优秀教师”，2009年获“首届中国针灸学会华佗奖优秀青年科技工作者”。2012年获评第7批广东高校“千百十人才”省级培养对象。

Zuo Changbo is a doctoral supervisor of acupuncture and moxibustion major of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a head tutor of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, the director of “Zuo Changbo International Research Center of Acupuncture and Moxibustion” of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, the chairman of Macau Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and the fitst disciple of Dong’s Unique Acupuncture Points Therapy the in the Chinese mainland.
On the base of his immersion in traditional acupuncture and moxibustion as well as understanding of Dong’s Unique Acupuncture Points Therapy, using Dan Dao Jing Hua as reference and creating another meridian therapy, he created a method “Using acupuncture and follow the exercise which are abstruse and not able to be expressed”.
He is the first person of “Pneumatolysis of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Theory”. In addition, he found “Big Folk Acupoint” and popularized it. He also studies and creates a series of methods of Pneumatolysis Acupuncture as well as advocates using microneedles to regulate Qi and treat Shen. Besides, he is devoted to clinical practice as well as extended research of theory of Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
